Request a mission

What it does

This mission matches what customers asked on a call to your knowledge base articles. ChatGPT or Claude reads the call through Fathom, pulls out each question the customer asked, and finds the best article or course from your help center for each one, with a line on why it fits.

It drafts a follow-up email with the links, and logs any question without a matching article as a content gap. Fathom's own customer education team built this workflow to spot which help articles to write next.

Who it's for

Customer success managers, support teams and customer education teams who answer the same questions on calls every week.

The flight plan

Run it after customer calls, and review content gaps once a month.

  1. Give ChatGPT or Claude a list of your help articles and courses, or connect your help center.
  2. Connect Fathom and your email.
  3. Run the starter prompt after a customer call.
  4. Send the follow-up with the matched articles.
  5. Share the content-gap list with whoever writes your help content.

RULES

Match each question to one article, the best fit.

Say why each article fits in one line.

Log questions with no good match as content gaps.

Only link articles from your own help center.

Keep the follow-up short enough to read on a phone.

What good looks like

A good follow-up answers every question the customer asked. A mediocre one links the help center home page.

GOOD

"You asked how to share calls with your team: 'Sharing a call' covers it step by step. You asked about exporting transcripts: no article yet (logged as a gap)."

MEDIOCRE

"Check out our help center for answers to all your questions!"

STARTER PROMPT

⧉ Copy

Use Fathom to get my most recent customer call. List each question the customer asked, then match each one to the best article from this list: [paste help articles or link to your help center], with a one-line reason.

Draft a short follow-up email with the matched links. List any question without a good match separately as a content gap.

FAQs

Questions? We’ve got you covered.

How do I send customers the right help articles after a call?

Have ChatGPT or Claude read the call through Fathom, list the questions the customer asked and match each to an article from your help center. It drafts the follow-up email with the links for you to send.

How do I find gaps in my knowledge base?

Log every customer question that has no good article. Reviewed monthly, the list shows which articles to write next.

Which Fathom plan do I need to run this skill in ChatGPT or Claude?

Any Fathom plan, including Free. The skill reads your calls through Fathom's MCP integration with ChatGPT and Claude, which is on every plan.

What are knowledge base articles?

Knowledge base articles are help-center pages that explain how to do something with a product or service. Good ones answer one question each and are easy to link from a support reply.
