MISSION

A one-on-one meeting agenda built from your week's meetings

A good 1:1 covers what changed, what's blocked and what you need, and most of that came up in meetings. This mission builds your agenda from the week's calls.

What it does

This mission writes your one-on-one meeting agenda for you. Before your weekly 1:1, ChatGPT or Claude reads the week's meetings through Fathom and sorts what matters into a short agenda: wins, decisions made, where you're blocked and what you need from your manager.

You walk in with the week already summarized, so the 1:1 goes to the conversation instead of the recap.

Who it's for

Managers and individual contributors with a weekly 1:1, and leaders who prepare an update for their own manager.

The flight plan

Run it the morning of your 1:1, or the evening before.

  1. Connect Fathom to ChatGPT or Claude.
  2. Run the starter prompt before your 1:1.
  3. Cut the agenda to the three or four items that matter most.
  4. Add anything that didn't come up in a meeting.
  5. Share it with your manager ahead of time so they can prepare too.

RULES

Lead with decisions and blockers, not activity.

Turn every blocker into a clear ask.

Keep it to one page.

Link each item to the meeting it came from.

Leave out anything confidential from other teams' meetings.

What good looks like

A good agenda gets to the hard topics in the first five minutes. A mediocre one lists every meeting you went to.

GOOD

"Wins: Acme signed the pilot. Decided: delay the reporting launch to Feb. Blocked: still no data access from IT (asked twice). Ask: can you escalate with the IT lead this week?"

MEDIOCRE

"Monday: team standup, Acme call. Tuesday: roadmap review. Wednesday: hiring sync."

FAQs

Questions? We’ve got you covered.

What should be on a one-on-one meeting agenda?

Wins, decisions made since the last 1:1, blockers and what you need from the other person. Building the agenda from the week's meetings in Fathom means nothing important gets left out.

What if most of my week wasn't in meetings?

The agenda covers what came up in meetings. Add anything else by hand before you share it.

Which Fathom plan do I need to run this skill in ChatGPT or Claude?

Any Fathom plan, including Free. The skill reads your calls through Fathom's MCP integration with ChatGPT and Claude, which is on every plan.

What is a one-on-one meeting?

A one-on-one meeting is a regular private meeting between a manager and a team member to review progress, clear blockers and talk about growth. A short agenda keeps it focused.
