MISSION

Content marketing automation built on your calls and Slack

Most AI content sounds alike because it starts from the same prompt. This mission starts from your own calls and Slack threads, then runs each draft through research, editing and review steps.

REQUEST A MISSION

Tell us the meeting and what should happen after it. More detail means a sharper flight plan.

Request a mission

What it does

This mission builds a content marketing automation pipeline in n8n. You give it a target keyword. It pulls recent Fathom call transcripts through the Fathom API and finds Slack conversations on the same topic, then runs a series of AI steps: research, outline, draft, edit, a claims check and a final pass that removes generic AI phrasing.

What comes out is a draft built on what your team and customers actually said, ready for a human editor.

Who it's for

Content and SEO teams that publish often and want drafts with real substance. It suits teams comfortable building in n8n, or anyone with an ops partner who is.

The flight plan

Build it once in n8n, then run it for each keyword on your content calendar.

  1. Create a Fathom API key and connect Fathom and Slack in n8n.
  2. Add a trigger that takes a target keyword.
  3. Pull the Fathom transcripts and Slack messages that mention the topic.
  4. Chain the AI steps: research and outline, draft, edit, claims check, then a final pass for generic phrasing.
  5. Send the draft to your editor or CMS for review.

RULES

Every claim in the draft needs a source: a call, a Slack thread or a link.

Remove customer names and internal details before anything leaves the pipeline.

Give each AI step one job and clear instructions.

Save your best published pieces as examples for the writing step.

Keep a human editor as the last step.

What good looks like

A good draft cites real moments from calls and threads and reads like someone on your team wrote it. A mediocre one hits the keyword and says nothing new.

GOOD

"Our success team hears the same onboarding question every week: 'Where do I find last quarter's calls?' Here's how three customers solved it, in their own words."

MEDIOCRE

"Onboarding is more important than ever. Here are the top tips every team should know."

STARTER PROMPT

⧉ Copy

You are the research step in a content pipeline. Target keyword: [keyword].

Read the attached Fathom call transcripts and Slack messages. Pull out every question, problem, example and opinion related to the keyword, with the exact quote and its source. Leave out names and company details.

Then write an outline for an article that answers the search intent behind the keyword, using these findings as evidence. Mark each section with the quotes it should draw on.

FAQs

Questions? We’ve got you covered.

How do I automate content marketing with AI without it sounding generic?

Feed the AI your own source material instead of a bare prompt. Pulling call transcripts and team conversations into each draft gives it real examples and opinions, and separate steps for editing and checking claims catch generic phrasing before an editor sees it.

Do I need n8n to build this?

No. The original version was built in n8n, but Zapier or Make can run the same steps on paid Fathom plans. You can also run the research step by hand in ChatGPT or Claude with Fathom connected.

Which Fathom plan do I need for this workflow?

Any Fathom plan, including Free. The Public API that n8n connects to is on every plan, as is Fathom's MCP integration with ChatGPT and Claude.

What is content marketing automation?

Content marketing automation uses software to handle the repeatable parts of content work, like research, drafting, editing and distribution. The best setups automate the busywork and keep a person in charge of the final piece.
