What it does

This mission turns a project meeting into a meeting report in your company's format. ChatGPT or Claude reads the meeting through Fathom and fills in your template: objectives, progress against plan, risks and issues, decisions, and action items with owners. It adds tables and charts where the numbers call for them.

Ask for the report as a document or a slide deck for managers and stakeholders. With Zapier, the action items can also go to your project or operations tool.

Who it's for

Project managers and operations teams who report to managers, clients or shareholders after every project meeting.

The flight plan

Run it after each project meeting, using the same template every time.

  1. Connect Fathom to ChatGPT or Claude.
  2. Paste your report template, or describe the sections you need.
  3. Run the starter prompt after the meeting.
  4. Check the numbers and decisions, then export as a document or slides.
  5. Send the action items to your task tool with Zapier.

RULES

Use the same sections in every report.

Only include numbers stated in the meeting.

Show progress, risks and decisions before discussion.

Give every action item an owner and a date.

Mark anything still undecided as open.

What good looks like

A good report lets a stakeholder skip the meeting. A mediocre one is the transcript with headings.

GOOD

"Progress: foundation work 80% complete vs. 90% planned. Risk: steel delivery delayed two weeks. Decision: approve overtime for weekends in November. Actions: revised schedule by Nov 10 (site lead)."

MEDIOCRE

"The team met to discuss the project. Several topics were covered."

STARTER PROMPT

⧉ Copy

Use Fathom to get my most recent project meeting. Write a meeting report with these sections: objectives, progress against plan, risks and issues, decisions, action items (owner and date) and open questions.

Use only numbers stated in the meeting, and add a table wherever there's progress or budget data. Format it as a [document or slide deck] I can share with managers.

FAQs

Questions? We’ve got you covered.

What should a meeting report include?

Objectives, progress against plan, risks and issues, decisions, action items with owners and dates, and open questions. Using the same template every time makes reports easy to compare.

Can AI create slides from a meeting?

Yes. Ask ChatGPT or Claude for the report as a slide deck instead of a document, then review the numbers before you share it.

Which Fathom plan do I need to run this skill in ChatGPT or Claude?

Any Fathom plan, including Free. The skill reads your calls through Fathom's MCP integration with ChatGPT and Claude, which is on every plan.

What is a meeting report?

A meeting report is a written summary of a meeting's outcomes for people who weren't there, usually covering progress, decisions and next steps. It's more structured than meeting minutes.
